a cause--His brothers, God's chosen people are likewise hated without a cause. Who can explain it? except that{God has an enemy--goodness is hated by the bad--? God has told us in His word that those who bless Israel will be blessed & those that curse Israel will be cursed, so it would be wise to bless Israel rather than cursing her--He has told us what is good. It would be wise to listen to Himto walk in His waysto obey Him, to love Him. This is what I have learned thru reading the greatest Jewish book of all - the Bible, Old & New testaments - both are Jewish & One book, I feel. HIS!
So going back to our picture of Palestine, the Holy Land, as kids, being just a far off place with dome shaped houses & palm trees & barren hills -- I was busy growing up, studying in school & practicing my piano when things were changing in theHolyland--the gradual tricklng of Jews back to their land--some walked from russia yet! as you see things weren't too friendly there for them--then WWII came (I was in St. Louis & didn't keep up with world events much, just went to USO to keep the soldiers happy. One Marine I remember came out to the school for one of Mr. Galston's recitals & Mr. G noticed him with me & was pleased. When he left he said rather ruefully, "Well, I'm pulling out tomorrow to get some Japs." That's always haunted me. He was not the killing type.) Great Britain had a mandate in Palestine since WWI when it was captured from the Ottoman Turks. The Jews had asked for the land at that time--the Arabs also, & Britain promised it to both which made it rather ticklish at the end of the war so Britain held onto it as a mandate.  With the end of WWII the horrible reality of the extermination camps brought to light & the Jews that survived having no place to go, their
