Dear Mom and Dad etc, Jan. 24, 1973 Wed.
Thank you for sending the W-2. I filled out my tax forms yesterday and sent them in. I hope the way I filled them out is right. One thing I think I did was to put 1972 instead of 1973 on the Federal Tax Form. I didn't have to pay any Penn. tax (no refund either). I should get about $50. back from Md. tax and $260. (approx.) from Federal.
I had a chemistry test this morning. I[t] was difficult. I have done very well on the chemistry quiz[z]es. The test was much harder than the quiz[z]es.
Dr. Sherbine (May Term course prof.) has called a meeting for tomorrow night, to talk about the course.
I've started reading one of the Jacques-Yves books, Life and Death in a Coral Sea. It is beautiful and very interesting. I've had at least one dream of the Ocean since I started and a dream of a pool that seemed to be a pool that Bill life guarded and was covered because it wasn't in use. I looked in the pool for fish. As I looked I found organisms increasing in size of many shapes and colors. Small fish ate the small organisms and larger fish ate the small fish until there were 12" or larger bass, all very beautiful.
I'm keeping busy and enjoying what I can. Physics quizs have gone okay. I haven't had any tests in any other courses besides chemistry. Dr. O'Brien (abnormal psyche prof.) is having some kids condition

their other profs. We are to do some role playing of abnormal behaviors in a month or so and then are to write a paper on the behaviors that we portrayed giving reasons for choosing the portrayed behavior.
Jim, my last roommate, was up for the weekend to see his girl. I talked with him at lunch Saturday. He hasn't gotten a job yet, but may be headed more in the direction of his interest. I hope so! He was applying to telephone companies for supervisory jobs and to life insurance companies for claims adjustment jobs. He was a Psych-Social. major here. - I think he would make a good human relations person or even a counselor.
Sorry I can't be there for Monica's play (I think it is this weekend).
I hope Bill's photography course went well and was fun.
Hope the piano lesson business picks up and hope the kids are having fun, and you too, Mom.
Love,
Mike
