Kindex

Dear family,                    Tues. the 30th [Jan. 1973, two weeks after Vietnam cease fire mentioned in this letter.]

I'll be coming home this weekend. I hope to be able to make it Friday evening. If not then I will be there Saturday afternoon. I'll be taking the bus all the way into Westminster. No trouble getting from there to New Windsor.

Last weekend's work will give me enough money to make it this weekend, since, as of last weekend, I'm getting the money I earn payed directly to me. (I have worked off the $400.00 Work study grant that includes both semesters.)

It will be nice to come home. I would have liked to come home very much last weekend. No doubt the break will do me good. / I asked mister Eddinger if I could have off. Certainly says he, and he will get someone to work in my place.

Sorry I missed the fun last weekend. I'm glad it was fun.Aggie sounds neat. ("Aggie the skidder.") It has been very (10° F last night) cold here the last 2 days (today and yesterday). We had a little (very little) snow Monday (yesterday) morning. The cease fire in Viet Nam is great. [15 January 1973] I hope it is the "absolute" end. No more draft, new budget. Looks like Nixon has come through.

I got a 78 on the Chemistry test. If I had had more time I would have done better.

I felt relieved that I hadn't done worse. I think I will be happy with a B in Chem this semester, but I will still try for an A. "So"... I better get back and do some things if I'm going to relax this weekend.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad. Hope you're enjoying your break, Bill.

Love,

Mike
