1972-10-17 Mike McCormick letter to parents [estimated year, election year]
Hello Mom and Dad and Joan and friends, 10-17/eve. [1972]
It sure was nice to see you, Joan and Dad. Wow, sounds busy at home from your letter, Mom. Thanks for the slippers, winter coat, fig newtons, and blanket.
I'm about out of stamps. I'll have to get some more. Could you send 8 or 4 up in your next letter, Mom? I have the regular quizs this week (Physics and Chemistry). But nothing extra.
I got my absentee ballott and sent it back with my vote on it.
Yes, I got the book Bill sent me (and the letter).
What else to say? I don't know. I told Dad and Joan how I did on my Personality test and last Physics quiz, and Chemistry quiz. 81 (A), 10 (perfect score), 67 (D) respectively. Tomorrow I will try again to make a fairly decent grade in chemistry (gosh darn it). I'm doing ok in chemistry lab. Its kinda fun too.
Say hi to Bill when you see him.
Love,
Mike
