Dear Mom and Dad,
I just got my schedule for work/study worked out. I'll be working on maintenance. 15 hours a week for the $350. "grant" 8-12 Tues 8-12 Thurs. 8-3:30 Sat. (lunch 12:00 to 12:30)
Had 2nd philosophy class. We broke up into groups (4 in each group) for discussion of questions in the first chapter reading. He (our prof.) thought that 30 some people were too many for one discussion in philosophy.
The two people who were assigned the position paper had already completed it (having read the text) and had it dittoed. I just finished reading last night and not very well. I don't know how I'm going to do it. I'm pretty sure that the two people are supposed to work together too. He requests and almost requires the the work be typed. Have to have

his permission otherwise (to write). My roommate says he may be getting a typewriter from home in a couple of weeks. Who knows? That may not be soon enough, if I am strictly required to type anything before then.
Another thing I kinda need is a wash cloth. Why I didn't think of keeping the one that had been packed, I don't know?
I'm writing home more often up here (so far of course I probably will keep it up too). It must be a different atmosphere. There is more need involved in a situation of this type than in camping.
I still have $22. and some or most of the basic things I need. That money could go quickly though. Such as for a lab manual and/or lab fee (if either have to be paid).
There was a movie for free (ID card) "Cool Hand Luke" starring Paul Neuman. It was very good.
I guess thats just about it for right now. (I'm trying to use only one piece of paper at a time.) There was a concert fee to pay at registration or before. It would have made it cheaper than paying at each concert. But the fee was $15.00. That would have been too much to pay at one time then. (Would have left me with very little money). Love, Mike
