Dear grandparents,      [June 2004; mentions grandmom's birthday party, her birthday is in June]

Thank-you for the letters. The little Toyota is holding up well. Just recently one of my friends showed me how to change the brakes. In the future that could save me money. The AM/FM radio it came with worked, but not always. Now I have a AM/FM RADIO/CD Player that my brother, James, gave me. I've had it since I left home, but now it is connected. One of my friends might come east with me so that I will not be driving so far alone. I'm glad your birthday party went so well grandmom. Things like that make me kind of wish I was closer to home so I could come back fro a weekend sometime. I do enjoy being at this university though. Something else about the Tercell. The new stereo has a clock built into it. So as soon as I figure out how to set the click I'll know what time it is when I'm driving. It (the car) gets hot when the car sits in the sun and I hold the black steering wheel to start driving. I recently bought a cover for that so it should be easier to get in and go without the shock of the hot steering wheel. I hope that both of you have been feeling better at time. I am doing well though still a challenge I am blessed to be able to gain some knowledge from my classes. Having good friends here really helps me keep going too. As does all the love and support felt from home. Thanks

Love,

Michael
