Mom, Dad

Hello home,

How's Ruben?

I wrote to Grandmom and -dad yesterday. They wrote me quite a while ago so busy or not busy I decided to write yesterday in the middle of writ a philosophy paper.

I got a C- minus on the last paper (gone down from a C on the first one).

Had a math test today. I'm sure I didn't get a hundred on it. We had to figure the derivative of 1/x2 the long way (by Delta process). Well

- - - - - - - - - - - - - END OF PAGE 1 - - - - - - - - - - - - -

my answer comes out as -2/x4 every time But by the short method I know that it is -2/x3. I couldn't see any way of getting the right answer by the Delta process so that one is wrong.

In lab today we punctured our fingers for a blood test. My Blood came out type A.

I left my spiral (math) notebook in math class today. I'll probably find it still there the next time. Strange things though, we have some homework to do that our prof. gave us the day of the review for the test that will be due the next class period. Usually I write my assignment down in my notebook. I did this time too but I also marked the problems down in my text when I got to the […]. The first time I've done it. I did it like I almost knew that I would leave my notebook in class but why should I leave the notebook at all. Why shouldn't I be warned against it than simply prepared for it.

Love,

Mike
