Children taken to school - then wrote a sermon after some study.
Took M. to Study Club at Downes'.
Went to get girls.
Then to Methodist Building to see Dr. L. B. Bowers Pres. of Kansas Wesleyan Univ. - He had a proposition to go out there & teach history.
Also saw Dr. Todd.
Came home to shredded wheat supper & a "No" from Ma. Too quick a move, too small salary.
The small salaries given Univ. professors do not help my enthusiasm for teaching. It might be from one financial hole to another to change. I am praying that the Lord's will may be done, that it may be clear to me what he wants me to do, regardless of the salary question. Bobby said "If you are going to move, I'm going to Mrs. Woods' to stay." Quite a remark for a young man, not quite 4 yrs old.
