Dear Mom and Dad,                  Wednesday the 8th

I turned in two papers at the beginning of this week. One was actually a take home essay test in Religion (^typewritten 8 pages). The other was a five page paper for Medieval Mind. The last paper I did in Medieval M. I got a D-. I realize now how bad it was. I didn't spend so much time on it because there were other things that seemed more important. This time I took a little more care in writing it (one reason I haven't written home.)

I've been rebelling against the structure of rhetoric so much I can't write a good organized paper anymore. The person is more important than some structure which impersonalizes, but that structure is important so that others can understand --- so that there is communication.

I have a Psyche lab experiment to write up (first we have to run the experiments; We'll do that tomorrow). The write ups can be as much as 10 pages long. My last one was only 4 pages. I got a B- on it too. I thought mine was kinda long until I found out some people wrote 8 pages, and one wrote 18 pages ^Wow!. I don't know how good they did though.

Besides this write up, I have a take home final in Medieval Mind coming up and then the last two test on Monday the 20th after which I can go home. Tests are in Psychology & Shakespeare.

It's been raining up here the past two days. Its been too warm to snow. The rain is coming down in mostly a drizzle like melted snow would do. 

Just so it doesn't decide to snow when you have to make the trip up here.

Classes don't start again until Jan. 10 (a Monday) after the Christmas Vacation. I don't have a calendar to tell me but my roomate does. He got it at freshmen orientation. That's a three week vacation.

Things have slown down the last couple days, but will start picking up again tomorrow.
