I got your letter today, Dad.           Sept. 19, 1970

                                                             Saturday

Dear Mom and Dad,

Here goes again. It almost seems monotonous, but it isn't. I enjoy it. I was busy this morning (and afternoon) mowing grass and such things. We loaded the logs by Forest Hall onto a truck and they were taken to a dump. We also cleared crab grass and other weeds out from around the bushes around the Academic Center.

I just did a small wash (my underware and a pair of socks). I was thinking of doing a big wash today, but I didn't need to so to solve my problem I washed what I wold be needing in the sink in the bathroom.

We've been eating fairly good meals still, lately--with a choice yet. The evening meals from Mon. through Thurs. the tables are set and have a table cloth on them. Some employed college guys show you to a table (to fill them up) and set the stuff off the tray onto the

table. They take the tray away. Then they clean the mess up afterwards.

I really enjoyed your letter, Dad.

I got enough stamps yesterday to last me through the envelopes I bought.

Thanks for the check.

I hope the C.C. team at Francis Scott Key does okay this year. I don't think their competition is too rough.

A guy that works maintenance (not on work/study though, just as work) comes from Maryland. Around our area, Mt. Airy. He even knows where New Windsor is. I think he is a Junior or more likely a Senior.

My hands are peeling. With old caluses wearing away and new ones on their way - I'm sure.

Better get ready for dinner. I'm rather dirty from working.

My other letter must have crossed yours, Dad. It will probably be getting there Saturday (today).

With Love,

 Mike
