Dear Mom and Dad and Joan,           Jan. 8, 1973

Thank you for bringing me up, Joan.

I have a new roomate. He is a junior and he took last semester off. He is registering as a special student this semester. I guess all that is meant by "special student" is that the graduation date cannot be set as a specific year. He came in last night but didn't stay here. He stayed at a friends.

I'm wearing a sweater because it is cold in my room even with the heat on.

I have gotten my books and have gone to all of my classes scheduled today. The physiological psychology course will be very interesting and might even be fun. Abnormal psychology should prove to be fun also; it is also interesting. None of my courses are going to be easy, but all the teachers (professors) are putting out an effort to make their courses interesting and in more than one case less difficult. For example, Dr. Turner (Chemistry professor) suggests a supplementary text using programmed instruction and also suggests the use of a molecular model kit

for those who think they need it.

I hope you had a good and safe trip home, Joan.

I don't think this is going to work (writing on the back of this paper). I'll try to make it work. I hope you can read it.

Don't let mom feed you too much food, Dad. Stay healthy. Did you even find out how you did on your paper and in the course? I forget if you told me.

I wish I was home enjoying the food and company there. I will enjoy it here too. It is cold here. I guess the weather isn't too much different there.

I picked up a new course description and application form for the May Term today, because I left the one I had home. I will be looking into the May Term situation further. If I go somewhere like Bermuda I'll be kinda far away and might miss my chance to take the Medical College Admission Test that is offered in May. I'll have to check that out.

Take it easy.

Love,

Mike

P.S. Please send any mail that might be W-2 forms to me. Thank you. It'll be appreciated.
