Hello Mom and Dad, 11-12 [1971]
I thought it would be a busy time for you. I got your letter Mom.
So many people, I think, are going home this weekend. They can't wait for Thanksgiving I guess. And are maybe a little excited about it. My roomates going home. He did last weekend too. […] didn't come back until Tues night.
There are and were a few tests today so that my morning classes were very small. I don't have any papers due or tests to take today, but... (Just remembered I don't have any stamps) I do have them next week. Psyche test next Friday. Psyche lab paper due Thurs. and Shakespeare paper due Mond. the day before Vacation starts.
We had to choose our subjects for next semester. I chose 3 psyche courses & a Bio course. I've turned in my selections already. This morning I went to see a professeur that teaches 2 of my chosen courses (Psyche courses). She said I[t] wouldn't be any problem taking the 2 courses together if I didn't mind having the same teacher twice on the same day. She seems pretty nice so I don't think I will mind.

But even so She pointed out that my schedule was a kind of heavy one. It may be. Maybe I should take it a little easier. I do have 2 more years to take the 7 required courses in Psyche. I have plenty of time to take some of them later, and I have time to take courses from other departments too. Besides next semester I have 16 courses I can take. I could have all my required courses finished by the end of my fall semester of my junior year. That would leave me with 3 semesters to fill in with other courses, of which most don't seem too interesting. I may be able to work something out, so that I ease up on my schedule. I could take an introductory sociology course or something.
Worry, Worry, Worry. While I'm struggling with present worries over classes I've got to think about & plan for the future. Everything that is done is done for the future anyway (it's all done to get somewhere. I'd like to just feel that I am someplace. Some of this Feeling is expressed by Sam Keen who wrote a book that I read for religion. He says he is experiencing living in the gracefulness of the present.)
Introductory courses are pretty good to give you some idea of all the different concepts related to some major field of study. Have fun with the play, Mom. Hope everybody has a good time watching it. How did homecoming go? Were there many of the previous ministers there?
Bye Love, Mike
