Dear mom and Dad,

Talked to Frank Dertylaugh yesterday at work. He can't get home by himself (no more car). But he says his parents will or are probably planning on making the trip up to get him. If not, though, I offered to let him come or go back with us.

If you come up by 11:00 am Friday [its exactly 11: am Sun now bong bong] I will have to eat later with you (whoever comes up); plus Frank does not get out of class until 12:00 on Fri. . He says he will let me know sooner or later in the week whether he has a ride by his parents or if he will come with us. All in all, if you don't hear from me in the time from now to friday then feel free to come up around 11:am on 3-26-71. Otherwise I will specify that Frank will be coming and that you wouldn't have to be here until 12:00 or maybe later (depending on whether we want to eat here or on the road or whether Frank needs time to pack some last things aft. class).

I will let you know, but if I don't, then come at 11:am.

Enough.

This guy, McCandlish Phillips, who wrote The Bible, the Supernatural, and the Jews. that I'm reading is a bit of a fundamentalist and he takes the Bible like a Catholic would--as the word of God disregarding any mistakes in translation over the yrs. etc.

But I like some of his ideas. He's half on and half off. He warns of jumping right into fooling with supernat. stuff (that's good that he warns of that). He gives the idea that there are both good and evil powers of the supernat. "The Bible says so!"

The Bible is his source of telling whether some supernat prophecy or any delving in the sup. is fr. a good or evil source (Holy Spirit or Devil and such). He says Jeane Dixon and late Bishop James A. Pike are bad. (So is Timothy Leary he says).

Pike is bec. the Bible says mediums are bad or can be or are used by evil spirits who know all that has gone on since the beg. of time and can imitate peoples.

Nothing wrong with the man, Pike, though, as Phillips says but he was led astray or into the wrong business And it seems that he was supposedly punishished for it. (from what he says and from what had happened)

See you, Take it easy,

Love,

Mike
