and the past 2000 yrs that we spend so much time on in school one zilch! nothing?or rather a mopping up!at least in God's plan. According to the scriptures they're described as the time of the Gentiles. A lot of prophesy stops(& stops & takes a break for 2000 yrs)with the life of Jesus & the end of sacrifice in 70 AD when the Temple was destroyed the 2nd time, the Babylonians destroying it in 583? BC & the Romans in 70 AD & both on the same day! The 9th? of the Jewish month Av--our July-August. And prophecy doesn't pick up again 'til 2000 years later (in round figures) with the return of the Jews to their ancient homeland & the establishment of Israel in March '48, and so prophecy is now being fulfilled in our time!!now if that aint existing--what is?When I was a child the holyland as it was called, also Palestine, was nothing but rock & sand. Jerusalem was a dump. We had these picturesof the holy landwhere you looked thrua sort of blinder59 2 exact same pictures about a half a foot away & they came out in 3D--as a child it really fascinated me no end & I loved looking at them, hills, olive trees, Arabs etc. And just a few years ago I read a fascinating book, "Our Jerusalem" by the daughter of the fellow who wrote "When peace like a river... it is well with my soul," and her Mom & Dad Spafford had set up the American Colony in Jerusalemwith like minded friendsand they were the ones that put out these neat pictures of the holy land in 3D!! Theyhadlived in Chicago at the time of the fire & helped those who were burned out of their homes 'til they were exhausted. Needing a rest they planned a trip to Europe but at the last minute he was not able to go but would follow on a later ship so he sent his wife & 3 little girls, changing their stateroom at the last minute. Halfway across the ship was struck by another ship right where they would've been, had he not changed then because of his not traveling with them; and sank in minutes. The children were lost but the mother was saved miraculously(unconscious)on a piece of board & taken aboard the other ship with the few survivors.
