Our move to New Windsor reminds me of Br'er Rabbit in a way - 'cause the DS at that time thought(or as we I think)he was doing us a bad turn by sending us to New Windsor but...

back. Bill graduated from Poly just before our move & was choosing a college to go to & decided on Western Maryland. Our move was to New Windsor, 7 miles away from the college - Did Bill live at home? No he stayed on campus - Joan was finishing her year at the Institute - did you live in town? No, she lived at home with us & Dad got her an old beat up second hand car to commute with her dog Wolf that she rescued from the pound - I can see hernowdragging him down the back walk that first day, a big brown dog who turned into a loveable mutt. I forget how many times he got lost - but always found. She kept him for about 10 years or more. I was supposedly caring for himoncewhile Joan washouse visiting & wentsomewhere & he got away! She was living in PA at the time & had to return without him. I felt terrible, but a couple weeks later she called & said Wolf had been found! a lady on a farm around 8-10 miles from us had called the vet in Lewisburg PA - (the number was on his tag) so we got in the car & raced over. Wolf was not there but she said she would call when she could get him in her basement. When we did go to pick him up he sat down in front of Mac & put hisbigpaw upon his kneefor him. As I said, Joan lived at home her last year of art school but on the weekends she took off for Lewisburg when Richard was going to Bucknell and when she graduated she wasted no time in saying goodbye to us & took off for PA & Richard where they lived in an old farm house with a neat cookstove! Bill met Monika van der Berg, his first year at college and that was it We met her in the springof their freshman yearat a game where she was in the band I think. Her senior year she wrote the music for a melodrama "Jack Dalton," produced & directed it - the whole bit! It was terrific! Who is this kid?? She has been a dream! all thru the years.
At the honors program at graduation the two of them were out
