Dear Mom and Dad, Friday [about April 1972; letter references term papers and experimental learning course taken Jan-Apr 1972]
Not much has changed except I've been getting some work done. I seem to spend all my time on the Experimental learning course, but I have progressed in the other courses a bit.
I went downtown this afternoon and got my lightbulb (2, 100 watt bulbs). I got your unwaxed dental floss, mom. Got some shampoo too. It was all in the same store.
Today when I was running and got to the top of a long hill a really big St. Bernard came out of his house and barked and ran along with me. He tasted my arm, didn't find it appetizing, and continued

barking. He did no harm.
On Sunday it was too cold to run its true. It's hard to breath when it's really cold. My nose and throat gets very cold and a little raw. The nights were cold a couple days. I wore a T-shirt then. I still am wearing one even though it's warmed up some. I would wear pajamas if I had them. We've had the window closed for some time at nights and during the day.
There was a real warm day this week though and it's not so bad today. I've got lots of work this weekend. I've got to turn in two term paper topics Monday and a lab write up Tues. for Psych. Plus the regular stuff which ain't easy either. I'll get the main stuff done for sure.
How's Gurdjie's puffed up stomach?
Bill's coming up tomorrow for a swim meet. It'll be good to see him. I hope I don't miss him.
Love,
Mike
