Two of the boys who ran

out in the night blew off

steam in meeting & also

wrote me letters.

Two lads came while

we were having versing, scared

so their faced showed it. They

had been accused of telling 

on Wei Taey & Chang who went

over the wall. I comforted them 

as best I could.

I brought the 3 culprits

to my house & put them

in a back room, but

they fled while I was

talking with the magis-

trate. I looked for them

but did not find them.

Many boys were badly

frightened, but Wei come 

back & do them harm

in the night.

I began special meet-

ings in school, a.m. & 

p.m. Some good

earnest prayers by the boys.
