Kindex

Mom and Dad,                              1-20 [1974]

No I haven't run out of ink. (I spoke too soon you'll notice on the envelope a change of pens) I was just using a pencil to do some organic problems and decided to take a break or rather I got tired of looking at organic. I have my first organic test Wednesday. It will be hard.

I talked some with a girl who had been drinking quite a bit last night. I had met her before at a party the week before. She was very funny. Kept telling me I was cute, but also telling me about a boyfriend at home. She was writing a letter to him.

I also saw and talked to Shiela Zent, a girl that went to Francis Scott Key H.S. and just started here this semester. She and Donna Babylon were good friends in high school (whenever I saw Sheila she was -- usually -- with Donna).

There isn't too much problem keeping up in my (two) courses this semester.

I still need a break now and then sometimes more often than other times. Maybe more so (more breaks) because there isn't quite as much variety with two courses.

Chemistry is a kind of all or none study. It gets to be a drag if you're not always totally into it. If it happens to be you're major field of study it can take on more practical value otherwise its a drag.

I've gotten my tax forms all filled out. For my efforts in filling the federal tax form out I'm getting $1.00 back. No state tax is to be refunded (from Pa.) Non need be paid to Md.

I've fully recovered from my initial depression of being back in school. Apathy takes hold of me often enough though.

Love, Mike
