Hot. Rain. Clear. Cooler at night.

A sultry morning - up at 5 finished wash about 10 - boiled white clothes. never saw them whiter.

M. Ann & I drove downtown for shoes for them & other things.

Home late.

Hung clothes outside, later took them in, did up Durbin's Bible to send to Carlisle.

Got calling cards, ice, left laundry, called at Miles Station for battery but it was not ready.

Charles went off at 3:30 to get a hair cut.  He failed to return until after 8:30.  We were worried, wondering what had become of him.

Official Board - 6 in attendance.  Voted to give me 2nd Sunday in Aug. - also to pay 1/2 our coal bill.  

Fine, cool night to sleep.
