Hot day. Hot on the start - no breeze. Part Cloudy.

Conducted funeral of W. Harper Beckett age 53 at Lanham Church, burial in Lanham Church Cemetery - 11 a.m.

M & I lunched at Gibbons after a call on the Nelsons in the parsonage.

Then at 2, I conducted the funeral of W.E. Grinder age 40+ at the house - burial in Ft. Lincoln Cemetery.

With all but Chas & Jean, went downtown for laundry & to the 5&10^{(he used the cent symbol here)} stores.

Hot. Mostly clear.

Preached morning & night for the 1st time at Langdon M.E. Church.  Good time preaching a.m. from Acts 1:4: Wait for the promise of the Father & pm from Phil 3:10. That I may know him. Observed S.S. at 9:45.
