…Later on we would go over for New Years day & watch the games, eat & gab. Anyway, the people were like a family and made it very enjoyable for us. They kidded hard & had fun with their programs. The neighborhood was clean. They cleaned all the time & everything even the alley! LaRue Schneider two doors up, (they were young artists), & I were strangers to all this cleaning - & our marble steps showed it! So she got some acid of some sort to clean hers & let me finish it up on ours & we then joined our neighbors with nice white steps! We used gloves of course & sent the acid solution down the commode when we finished: Patterson Park.

His car went over to the curb & stopped after having stopped at a light, his foot on the gas pedal. Even in death he was gentle & no one was hurt. He & Mac were like brothers. He had lost a brother in a drowning accident & Mac had lost a brother at birth. They didn't see eye to eye but enjoyed the argument?
